Paper Anniversary

So yesterday was my first wedding anniversary. And each anniversary has a specific thing associated with it. The first anniversary is paper. I looked online for suggestions and they were things like stationary or notebooks. How…romantic.

Luckily my husband is a keeper and the best ever and bought me BOOKS! But not just any books. He bought me these:

books

The collection includes H.G. Wells, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jane Austen, Sir Richard Burton, Homer, The Brothers Grimm, Leo Tolstoy, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, and Jules Verne. The books have really amazing covers such as this Jules Verne one which will probably be the first I’ll read. I’m a bit ashamed to admit that I have probably only read a handful of these classics, but be prepared because I intend to read most all of them! (The Dickens may prove a fair adversary!)

Amazing, right? Happy anniversary to me!

  1. They’re gorgeous! What a great gift! I can’t make out which books are in the Dickens one though?

  2. Thanks! I love them!! The Dickens has Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities, and Great Expectations.
